On this occasion will be attended by about 110 pupils of CEIP El Medano.

On Sunday November 21 we proceeded to collect another specimen of royal or ball python, Python regius , an adult male of 120 cm with some superficial wounds and severe dehydration was found abandoned in the municipality of Fasnia.

Today Tuesday, 23 November, we collected other common green iguana, Iguana iguana , who was perched on a tree a home Candelaria Igueste particular. Advised by 112 at 15:00 at 15:30 and we proceeded to capture and confinement. The specimen is a male about 5 years old and around 130 cm in total length, tail regenerated after amputation. State of regeneration tail was amputated a long time, otherwise the animal seems in good condition.

On Monday November 15, 2010, at 10:00 am hours, we received the call Local Police San Cristobal de La Laguna warning of the presence of a tarantula in the school garden CEIP San Matías. The teachers were very nervous and some mothers were being organized to force the seal of the college until it had been sprayed and controlled the absence of danger.

At 10:25 Neotropical Foundation staff appeared, accompanied by a police patrol on the Environment of La Laguna, the school said it was checking a single common garden spider , an adult female of the species Argiope trifasciata (Forskal, 1775) .

This species, despite being considered non-native, is abundant in rural areas of Tenerife, La Palma, La Gomera and Gran Canaria and completely harmless to humans.

At the request of the director of the school proceeded to remove the copy to safeguard his life while minimizing the alarm and state the obvious excitement of teachers and mothers.

Today Tuesday 16 November, proceeded to release the spider in the gardens of the Neotropical Foundation in Mesa Mota, La Laguna, where it will remain protected of direct human action.
