How To Change From A Bath Tub To A Stand Up

Blue and Yellow Macaw

Dear friends, collaborators and supporters:

Following the rescue service and removal of exotic fauna of the natural environment rural and urban, today October 11, 2010 we proceeded to gather in offices of the Civil Guard SEPRONA of San Cristobal de La Laguna, an adult specimen of blue and yellow Macaw, Ara ararauna, that had been found and captured free in the trees of the Public School Education and Primary Las Mercedes, Tenerife.

The specimen, the elderly, is gaunt and underweight with overgrown beaks and nails as a result of inappropriate diet and bad conditions in captivity. The state of the plumage is regular. The animal is also the enucleated left eye (one eye).

ararauna Ara is a species listed in Annex B of Regulation (EC) No 338/97 of 9 December 1996 on the protection of species of fauna and flora by control of trade and listed in Regulation (EC) No 407/2009 [Official Journal L 123, 19.5.2009]. Not detected the presence of a microchip, and is equipped with closed loop identification or any other identification as required by current regulations so it is an individual from the illicit trade.

At one end has a metal ring should be attached to a string. Probably the chain was broken that enabled the escape of the bird.

Captain Morgan in the quarantine cage.

As proceeds from illegal pirates, crooked beak is missing an eye we named Captain Morgan ...

Greetings.
